Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active ASHA SLP certification with 2–3 years of post-certification experience
- Previous experience in a school setting and comfortable working with diverse communication needs
- SLP-CCC credential required
- Willingness and ability to supervise and mentor up to 3 SLPAs, guiding their professional growth with oversight of treatment, reporting, and documentation
- Thorough understanding of Special Education eligibility, including initial and re-evaluation processes
- Experience attending and contributing to IEP meetings
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech and language services directly to students, tailoring interventions to a range of ages and needs
- Oversee up to 3 SLPAs, supporting their work across potentially 165 students in total; ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism in service delivery
- Supervise data collection, progress note preparation, and reporting for all assigned SLPAs, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Conduct evaluations related to Special Education eligibility (both initial assessments and re-evaluations)
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, presenting thorough evaluations and making informed recommendations to support student success
- Write and update IEPs for assigned caseloads, maintaining compliance and documentation as caseloads fluctuate
