Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC certification with at least 2-3 years of experience post-ASHA certification
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and a broad spectrum of communication needs
- Experience or willingness to support and supervise up to 3 SLPAs (each with their own caseload)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Current knowledge of special education law and IEP processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee treatment planning, data collection, and progress reporting for up to 3 SLPAs (potential total caseload of 165 students)
- Conduct and document special education eligibility evaluations, including both initial assessments and re-evaluations
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings by presenting evaluations, data, and making service recommendations for students
- Write and update IEPs for students on your caseload, ensuring compliance and individualized support
- Adapt to fluctuating caseload numbers due to student enrollment and changing needs
