Key Qualifications:
- Active ASHA SLP Certification with at least 2 to 3 years of post-certification experience
- Demonstrated background in school-based speech-language pathology
- Confidence working with a broad spectrum of communication needs
- Commitment and ability to supervise up to 3 SLPAs, each managing caseloads of up to 55 students
- Experience guiding SLPAs through treatment planning, data collection, reporting, and progress monitoring
- Strong foundation in conducting Special Education Eligibility Evaluations (both initial assessments and re-evaluations)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students, adjusting support based on caseload dynamics and evolving school needs
- Supervise and mentor SLPAs with thorough oversight of clinical procedures, caseload management, reporting, and progress documentation
- Attend all IEP meetings (initial, annual, and re-evaluation), presenting evaluation results, progress data, and informed recommendations
- Write, revise, and update IEPs for students on your caseload, ensuring all documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support student progress
