This full-time position is tailored for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who are committed to making a lasting impact, whether holding the CCC or working toward their CFY. Serving preschool through middle school students, you’ll have influence over your preferred caseload—either PK-early elementary or upper elementary through middle school—depending on your skills and interests.
This assignment is onsite only, ensuring direct engagement with students and staff. The school offers an exceptionally supportive atmosphere, inviting contractors to participate fully in professional development sessions alongside permanent staff. There is also a strong possibility of continuing your work into the Extended School Year (ESY).
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP credentials (CCC or CFY considered)
- Experience in school-based settings or strong interest in working with children from preschool to middle school
- Comfortable supporting students with moderate to severe needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance, as required for some students
- Willingness to work onsite (no virtual opportunities due to high needs caseload)
- Positive communicator and collaborative mindset, ready to engage with a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster communicative growth in students with diverse and complex needs
- Participate in school staff development and collaborative meetings
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each student
