Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference in the lives of students as a Speech Language Pathologist during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position (35 hours per week) focuses on providing expert speech-language services for children in a self-contained autism setting, working with students from early childhood through grade 5.

In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support communication development, assessment, and intervention for students who benefit most from your expertise. The setting emphasizes individualized support for children with autism, empowering meaningful progress in their everyday classroom environments.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (IDFPR).
  • ISBE Professional Educator License as required (see state guidelines for details).
  • Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) OR Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility.
  • Previous experience in pediatrics, schools, or providing speech services for children with autism is highly valued.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop targeted therapy plans.
  • Deliver speech-language therapy services individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to optimize students' communication goals.
  • Track and document progress, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and state requirements.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to the educational team.
