Location: Mesquite, Dallas, Texas Area

Schedule: Full-Time
School Year: 8/11/2026-5/28/2027
Caseload: Up to 130 Students
Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with American Sign Language (ASL) experience to provide speech and language services for students within the Mesquite/Dallas, Texas area. The SLP/ASL will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students with communication disorders, including students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments for students with communication disorders
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy goals
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings
Support students utilizing American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities as appropriate
Collaborate with teachers, interpreters, audiologists, related service providers, and parents regarding student progress and intervention strategies
Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Manage a caseload of up to 130 students
Maintain confidentiality of student records and information
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required OR Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Certification (DHHT) required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Requirements
Fingerprinting must be completed through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) prior to start
Must meet all district and state credentialing requirements
Work Environment
School-based setting serving students with varying communication and educational needs
