This full-time contract role focuses on providing high-quality speech-language pathology services at a single elementary site, supporting a caseload of approximately 40-45 students from transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. The assignment spans a 160-170 day contract and fosters personal and professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates welcome
- Previous school-based experience with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for diverse elementary learners
- Develop, implement, and document individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students grades TK-5
- Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate results effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate on student support teams
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
