Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Manitou Springs, CO
A fantastic opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working with preschool students. This full-time contract position supports a vibrant school community near Manitou Springs, CO. You’ll join a collaborative environment where each school site includes another SLP on staff, allowing for shared resources, support, and teamwork. This assignment focuses on a preschool caseload, with student numbers ranging between 40 and 60, offering you the chance to truly make an impact during the early years of speech and language development.
The schedule is set at 37.5 hours per week, with consistent weekday hours from either 7:15 AM–3:15 PM or 7:45 AM–3:45 PM. This structure allows for work-life balance along with stability throughout the school year. Compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $45 to $65 per hour, for qualified candidates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure or eligibility as an SLP in Colorado
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Recent experience working with school-aged or preschool populations
- Knowledge of providing speech/language therapy in educational settings
- Effective communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to preschool students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and maintain progress documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and fellow SLPs
- Participate in team meetings and child study teams
- Deliver engaging and individualized therapy sessions
