School Speech Language Pathologist - Machesney Park, Illinois

This role is based in a supportive school setting and runs for the full academic year, beginning with orientation on August 3rd. You’ll help students transition seamlessly as classes resume on August 11th, making a difference through May 28th.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state of Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- PEL (Professional Educator License) certification, active or ability to obtain prior to start
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants and those with CCC credentials
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is a plus, but enthusiastic new graduates are welcomed
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students on an assigned caseload
- Conduct evaluations to assess and document speech, language, and communication needs
- Work closely with teachers and staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultative support and resources to families
- Maintain detailed and confidential student records
- Participate actively in professional team meetings, student reviews, and ongoing professional development
