Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Bernalillo, NM
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the current school year. As a valued part of the educational community, you will work with a diverse caseload of around 60 students, providing both evaluation and therapy services. This assignment offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours, with opportunities for onsite or virtual service delivery. The position will have you collaborating across two schools in the Albuquerque area, offering variety and the chance to build strong relationships with students and staff alike.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid SLP license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
- CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- School-based SLP experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Comfortable with both onsite and virtual therapy formats
- Ability to support a caseload of approximately 60 K-12 students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Travel between two school sites as needed (if onsite)
- Adapt to a dynamic school environment, supporting students’ diverse speech and language needs
