Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure in New York
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates actively pursuing certification
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development and school-based documentation
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for diverse student backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with communication and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to support holistic student care
- Educate staff and families regarding communication disorders, therapy goals, and general strategies for success in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines
