Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary learners as a contract Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the meaningful opportunity to guide students’ communication goals and collaborate within a dynamic school environment, serving as both a direct provider and case manager.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required.
- Current Missouri state licensure (or ability to obtain before start date).
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with IEP development, Medicaid documentation, and case management.
- Commitment to fostering student growth and overcoming communication barriers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of elementary students, with approximately 76 on your service list (21 of which you will case manage).
- Manage IEPs for students on your case list, ensuring timely updates and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with an onsite SLP-A (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant), supported with supervision by an in-house SLP.
- Communicate regularly with families, educators, and school staff to provide progress updates and recommendations.
- Conduct assessments, contribute to eligibility determinations, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation of student progress and services delivered.
