Your ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of communication disorders will help empower students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. As a valued professional in this role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families, fostering strong communication skills essential for classroom and social success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) credential
- Valid state licensure and eligibility to work in a school setting
- Prior experience in a school environment preferred, especially with elementary-age children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with school staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for helping students develop speech, language, and social skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students’ communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in both individual and group settings
- Document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records
- Work in partnership with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ IEP goals
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based activities
