School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Junction City, Oregon
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity where your skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a meaningful difference. Collaborate with dedicated educators and support staff, providing essential SLP services across two high schools and one elementary school, serving approximately 33 students enrolled in life skills programming.
In this full-time, contract role, you’ll divide your week between two supportive campuses—one focused on special education and life skills, the other emphasizing communication and socialization. While you’ll work independently on-site, you’ll also benefit from virtual and monthly in-person collaboration with a seasoned SLP team, plus daily support from special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and assistant staff.
Preferred experience includes feeding and swallowing (safe eating) and working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). However, training is available for motivated candidates eager to develop in these areas. Your expertise will help foster student success, both in communication and social participation.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience with school-aged populations, particularly life skills or special education preferred
- Knowledge or interest in feeding/swallowing (safe eating) and AAC (training provided if needed)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to manage an independent caseload
- Commitment to on-site work; this position is not hybrid or remote
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver SLP services to students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with the SLP team, educators, and support staff
