Speech Language Pathologist
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school-based team in Joliet, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about helping elementary students develop strong communication skills that support academic achievement and social success.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide therapy services to Kindergarten through 5th-grade students, focusing on articulation, language development, and stuttering intervention within the school setting.
Position Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students
Address articulation disorders, expressive and receptive language deficits, and fluency/stuttering concerns
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
Provide recommendations and strategies to support communication skills within the classroom environment

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) if required by the district
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
