Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Orland Park, IL
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 9th grade in a collaborative school-based environment. This role involves working 21 hours per week for the entire 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on providing high-quality speech and language support to a diverse group of young learners. The caseload consists of 14 students with IEPs and an additional 9 students who require consultative services, with most students being 6th grade or younger. You will utilize Embrace IEP software and share an office with the dedicated case manager, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and communication.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP license (required)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) (required)
- Clinical Competence Certificate (CCC) welcomed; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also encouraged to apply
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, within schools or healthcare settings
- Proficiency with school-based SLP service delivery, including mild to moderate caseloads
- Skilled in developing, implementing, and documenting IEP goals and progress
- Familiarity with Embrace IEP software is advantageous
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is a significant plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement speech therapy interventions tailored to individual IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports using Embrace software
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute expert recommendations
- Offer consultative services and strategies to support student success across the school environment
