Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL

This contract role offers flexibility with 21 hours per week, focused on supporting a primarily mild-to-moderate caseload. You’ll work with a dedicated group of 14 children on IEPs, plus an additional 9 consultative cases, with the majority of students in kindergarten through sixth grade, and cases extending to grade nine.
The role centers on delivering effective speech-language pathology services in a school environment, utilizing the Embrace IEP software. You’ll collaborate closely with a case manager, sharing office space and contributing to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience in school-based settings, especially working with K-9 populations
- Familiarity with Embrace IEP software is valuable
- SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY backgrounds welcome
- Pediatric and healthcare SLP experience a plus
- Bilingual Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services per IEP requirements
- Coordinate with case managers, teachers, and families to optimize student progress
- Document therapy and student progress using Embrace software
- Conduct assessments, create therapy plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for students with diverse needs
