School Speech Language Pathologist - Des Plaines, IL

What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current PEL (Professional Educator License) with SLP endorsement
- SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Prior experience in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload cap of 45
- Familiarity with IEP processes, evaluation procedures, and progress documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment to students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Assist in evaluations as needed to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
- Provide direct speech and language therapy minutes according to IEP requirements
- Maintain organized, accurate records and progress notes
- Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings as necessary
- Support a positive and engaging learning environment
