School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Crystal Lake, Illinois

This role covers a maternity leave from August 10 to November 3, providing essential speech-language services for a caseload of approximately 35 young learners. Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) endorsement
- Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with early childhood and kindergarten populations
- Comfort working with a diverse range of disabilities, including DD, SLD, OHI, and SLI
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic about fostering growth and confidence in young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, evaluate communication needs, and participate in eligibility meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Document progress, complete required reports, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Offer guidance to staff and families on supporting speech and language development in the classroom and at home
Position Details:
- Contract assignment running from August 10 to November 3 (maternity leave coverage)
- Approximate schedule: 32.5 hours per week, 8:30 am–3:30 pm
