School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Cicero, Illinois

Ideal candidates bring a passion for early childhood communication, hold an active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license with a PEL (Professional Educator License), and value collaboration with educators and families. Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, helping you seamlessly integrate with established teams and routines.
What you’ll bring:
- Current Illinois SLP license and active PEL
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and student progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to creating engaging, developmentally appropriate interventions for preschool learners
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide speech and language therapy for preschool-aged students
- Collaborate with classroom staff, families, and other support professionals
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation for student progress and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning for student success
- Ensure seamless service delivery for the duration of the FMLA leave coverage
