School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Orland Park, Illinois
Looking to make a difference in early childhood education as a Speech-Language Pathologist? A full-time contract opportunity is available working with a preschool caseload in a supportive school environment near Orland Park, IL. This role offers the chance to serve on FMLA leave coverage for two separate time frames—August through November, and October through January, giving you flexibility and the opportunity to bring your expertise to a vibrant school setting.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois licensure and active Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with preschool or early childhood populations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to preschool students
- Conduct speech/language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers/families
- Deliver both small group and one-on-one interventions
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
