A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position in Centreville, MD. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech therapy services within an elementary school setting, supporting students from kindergarten to grade 2. The assignment runs from October 1 through December 31, covering 35 hours per week at a single school site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and student evaluations to identify speech and language needs.
- Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Deliver direct therapy sessions tailored to support student progress.
- Participate in meetings related to student progress and program planning.
- Document and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and evaluations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology, including telespeech services.
- Familiarity with special education processes and IEP requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
