Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Remote - Maryland
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract position in Centreville, MD. The role supports students at an elementary school serving grades K-2, with a focus on pediatrics and school-based speech therapy. This position runs from October 1 through December 31, offering 35 hours per week dedicated to direct and indirect services.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, completing student evaluations, writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), attending meetings, and delivering individualized therapy sessions. This position requires a licensed SLP with expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology and experience working within school settings.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and education regulations
- Ability to manage IEP development and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Proficiency in telespeech services is a plus
This is a single-site assignment with no paid travel or itinerant requirements. Administrative and team meeting hours will be compensated as worked within the contract period. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom or Teams, with individual or panel formats available, and hiring decisions can be made within 1-2 days.
