Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Tinley Park, IL
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students for the 26/27 school year as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming educational environment near Tinley Park, IL. Enjoy a Monday to Friday daytime schedule from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, working primarily with students in kindergarten through 9th grade, the majority of whom are in 6th grade or younger. You’ll work closely with the case manager in a shared office while managing a mild to moderate caseload, including 14 students with IEPs and providing consultative services for an additional 9.
Your expertise will help deliver high-quality speech and language services, ensuring student growth and compliance through the use of Embrace IEP software. This role is perfect for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, student-centered setting and have a passion for supporting diverse, multilingual populations.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a must
- Previous school-based experience is preferred (SLP - CCC, CFY, Healthcare, Pediatrics, or School setting)
- Experience or strong familiarity with IEP management software, preferably Embrace
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit and dedication to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech/language services for a mild to moderate caseload
- Work with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
- Document progress and maintain thorough records using Embrace
- Participate in IEP meetings, develop treatment plans, and provide staff guidance as needed
