Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
A rewarding opportunity awaits a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about supporting students in a dynamic educational setting for the 26/27 school year. Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, primarily serving students in kindergarten through 9th grade, with a focus on mild-to-moderate needs. The caseload includes 14 students with IEPs and 9 additional consult cases, most of whom are in sixth grade or younger. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated case manager, sharing office space to foster ongoing communication and resource sharing. You’ll utilize Embrace IEP software to streamline and optimize your workflow.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Valid Illinois SLP license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience with pediatric populations, especially in school-based settings
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience with Embrace software preferred
- Open to SLP-CCC and Clinical Fellowship Year applicants committed to supporting diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students on an IEP
- Provide direct and consultative services to students in a collaborative environment
- Maintain ongoing communication with educators and families
- Accurately document services and progress using Embrace
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
