As this role focuses on early childhood education, specialists comfortable engaging with young children will thrive. Please note: SLPAs are not considered for this position.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
- CCC credential or CFY status accepted
- Experience in schools, healthcare, or similar child-centered environments
- Passion for early childhood education and collaborative service delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to onsite therapy and presence for early learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to early childhood students in an onsite school setting
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet student needs
- Foster a nurturing, supportive environment for all children
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
