School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Jersey City, New Jersey

This full-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in school-based settings. The assignment runs from September 4th through June 25th, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, totaling 35 hours per week.
You’ll work with an elementary caseload, collaborating with educators and families to help students overcome communication challenges and achieve academic and social milestones. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and ready to integrate seamlessly into a close-knit district atmosphere.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Current, valid New Jersey SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience
- Ability to provide assessments, testing, and evaluations independently
- Strong communication skills and comfortable navigating district protocols
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to student needs
- Reliable transportation and openness to local commute
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and complete all required documentation
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with the broader educational team
- Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support for students and staff
- Maintain clear records of student progress
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families
Onboarding Requirements
- Clear TB screening, physical, and fingerprints for agency and district
- Quick, efficient 15-minute interviews
