Provide essential speech and language support to students in an energetic, educational setting near Hixson, TN. This full-time contract opportunity is geared toward skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) who are passionate about helping children thrive academically and socially. Assignments are based on the district's evolving needs, with placements primarily supporting the elementary age group, though caseload specifics for the upcoming year will be shared soon.
You’ll collaborate with dedicated staff members to evaluate and support students with communication disorders, making a difference every day in the lives of young learners.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current, valid SLP license
- Active Department of Education certification as an SLP
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Background working with elementary-aged students is a plus
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and multiple school assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams
- Completion of fingerprinting and all time-sensitive credentialing requirements
Position Details & Core Responsibilities:
- Start date: 8/5/26 | End date: 5/19/27
- Full-time role (35 hours per week) across one or more schools
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement therapy plans, and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with educators and families, and provide direct therapy services
- Contribute expertise to help design effective communication interventions for student success
