Make a lasting impact supporting students in the Chattanooga area as a dedicated contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, school-based opportunity offers a consistent 35-hour workweek from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027. The position will support campuses within a dynamic school district, with specific assignments and caseloads determined as the district finalizes their numbers for the upcoming year. Historically, the greatest need has involved working with elementary-aged students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Active Department of Education (DOE) certification as an SLP
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and time-sensitive credentialing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Experience in a school setting preferred, especially with elementary-age children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, classroom staff, and families to maximize student success
- Support compliance with IEPs and all relevant documentation requirements
- Engage in team meetings, contributing to a positive and inclusive educational environment
- May serve one or more schools depending on assignment needs
