With assignments typically focusing on the elementary age range, you’ll play an essential role in shaping students’ academic and social development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Current Department of Education certification in SLP
- Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities and best practices
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting promptly
- Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students based on IEP goals
- Participate in the assessment, identification, and development of intervention plans for students with speech or language disorders
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support positive student outcomes
- Maintain and document progress notes, session logs, and compliance paperwork according to district standards
- Adjust caseload management as assignments may involve multiple school sites with varying student populations
- Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
