Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a contract position supporting students in the Chattanooga area for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll work across one or more school sites, with caseload specifics to be determined as the district finalizes placements. The position spans 35 hours per week from early August 2026 to mid-May 2027, providing an excellent chance to make an impact throughout the academic year in a dynamic school setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Possess a valid Department of Education certification as an SLP
- Prior experience in schools or with elementary-age students is highly desirable
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing in a timely manner
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and assignments as they are finalized
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to assigned students, focusing primarily on the elementary age range
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with educators and families
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation meeting district and state requirements
- Adapt quickly to serve multiple school sites as needed
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and staff consultations to support student progress
