Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- State licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working with elementary-age populations, preferably within a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnering with educators, families, and other specialists
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans based on IEP goals
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to elementary students with a variety of communication needs
- Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in accordance with district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop individualized goals
- Provide consultation and resources to school staff and student families
- Adapt materials and strategies to promote inclusion and maximize student growth
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality at all times
