School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Los Angeles, California
Step into an engaging opportunity making a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary and middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Located near vibrant Los Angeles, this role is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication and supporting student growth. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2026, you'll work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, managing a caseload of approximately 55 students.
Professionals with their California SLP License and expertise working in school settings—whether holding CCC or fulfilling their CFY—will thrive in this collaborative environment. Responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing and presenting individualized education plans (IEPs), and participating as an active team member in IEP meetings to ensure each student's success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Experience or eligibility for SLP-CCC or CFY status
- Comfort serving elementary and middle school populations
- Previous school-based SLP work preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services to students with communication challenges
- Complete assessments and maintain timely, thorough documentation
- Develop, write, and present IEPs at meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Monitor progress and adjust individualized plans as needed
