School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Harvey, Louisiana
Exciting contract opportunity for professionals with a passion for helping students achieve their communication goals! If you are a Speech Language Pathologist seeking a meaningful experience in a school setting, this role is for you. Work onsite in the New Orleans area during the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students’ growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Active state licensure in Speech Language Pathology or eligibility for Louisiana licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- School-based experience is beneficial, though not mandatory
- Ability to complete district drug screening and fingerprinting promptly
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Serve a full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar
- Adapt therapy techniques for varied age groups and diverse student needs (specific caseload and number of school assignments will be determined prior to placement)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress
- Keep accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
