School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Kenner, Louisiana
Step into an impactful role supporting students during a key period as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working onsite with a diverse population. This contract opportunity covers maternity leave and offers the chance to make a genuine difference in school-based speech and language services. You'll be part of a warm, collaborative setting, offering your expertise for a full-time schedule spanning September 14th through the return after Thanksgiving break.
Your work will focus on approximately 50-60 students at the elementary level, where you’ll contribute your knowledge and foster positive student outcomes. This assignment welcomes both experienced SLPs with CCCs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to develop their skills in a nurturing environment.
Ideal Candidates Bring:
- Current Louisiana SLP licensure or eligibility (CCC or CF)
- Background in providing speech and language therapy within a school-based setting
- Strong organizational and case management skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Passion for empowering students and celebrating milestones
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver therapy to K-5 students onsite, aligned with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility meetings, and write progress reports
- Communicate progress regularly to parents, teachers, and school teams
- Document sessions accurately and maintain compliance with school and state regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive therapy environment
