We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist eager to deliver impactful onsite services to a diverse caseload of 50-60 students. This full-time contract opportunity runs from ASAP through the end of November (after Thanksgiving break), offering a chance to work closely with school teams and students alike.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) in Louisiana for Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CF) or SLPAs are welcome to apply
- Clinical experience in a school-based setting is appreciated but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and students
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to balance a full caseload onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech, language, communication, and social skills
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and other professionals to support student success and progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all required documentation and regulations
