School Speech Language Pathologist - Hamden, Connecticut

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license in Connecticut
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with high school students, is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to high school students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop strategies to address students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services
- Collaborate with educators and families to design and implement effective interventions
- Contribute to IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Offer guidance to teachers regarding communication strategies for classroom support
