Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working within school settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to tailor interventions based on individual student needs and IEP goals
- Comfortable with both individual and group therapy sessions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
- Document all services, progress notes, and required paperwork in a timely, professional manner
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring
- Stay current on best practices and continuing education in school-based speech therapy
