Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist at two dynamic campuses in Texas. This full-time, school-based contract offers an engaging and collaborative environment where your expertise will shape student achievement and support a diverse community.
As part of this itinerant placement, you will either provide supervision to SLPAs while managing cases across both an elementary and a high school, or focus your clinical skills on therapy and case management for a single campus. With up to 37.5 hours per week and coverage spanning the academic year through late May, you'll build meaningful connections and make a tangible impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP licensure required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12)
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLP Assistants
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Bilingual Spanish language proficiency preferred
- Commitment to adhering to credentialing and fingerprinting requirements as per TEA guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students K-12
- Oversee and guide SLPAs in delivery of therapy and service coordination (if assigned)
- Case manage students’ IEPs and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet students' unique communication goals
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations and timelines
- Engage families, teachers, and ancillary staff to maximize student progress
