Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mansfield, Texas
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity working with elementary-aged students in a unique educational environment near Mansfield, TX. This part-time position supports private school students and local homeschoolers who visit the elementary campus for customized speech-language therapy. The work is thoughtfully organized, with the schedule typically spanning eight Wednesdays in the first semester and 8-10 Wednesdays during the second semester, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There’s some flexibility to accommodate your availability.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active, valid state SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants welcome
- Experience in pediatric therapy, especially within school settings, highly valued
- Strong background in articulation therapy and working with elementary age students
- Skilled in individualized and small group sessions
- Adept at collaborating with schools and families for optimal student outcomes
Core Responsibilities:
- Review individual student speech and language goals prior to each session
- Design targeted, creative lesson plans to address each child’s needs
- Deliver speech therapy and intervention in small group or individual formats
- Serve elementary-aged private school and homeschooled students within a supportive setting
- Record and document progress consistently and accurately
- Adapt strategies to student responsiveness, maintaining open communication with caregivers and school staff
