Speech Pathology - Grambling, LA
Make a real impact in the lives of young learners as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting early intervention efforts in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity focuses on working with children ages 3–4, providing essential speech and language services as part of a dedicated Early Interventionist Team. Situated onsite, you’ll become a vital part of a supportive educational community, working closely with students, families, and fellow professionals to help children achieve important developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Louisiana SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings or early intervention is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—ability to work effectively with teachers, families, and fellow specialists
- Compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting young learners’ progress
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a variety of developmental levels and individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to 3–4-year-old students onsite
- Collaborate with the Early Interventionist Team to design and implement individualized intervention plans
- Evaluate students’ communication abilities and document progress
- Communicate supportively with families and educational staff, fostering a team approach to student success
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based services
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed, providing professional input on student needs and progress
