School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Harvey, Louisiana

This contract position offers a rewarding role within an educational environment for the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 7, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Embrace a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, working Monday through Friday in alignment with the school calendar. School and caseload assignments will be finalized prior to your start date, and you’ll work with an energetic and supportive school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Current or eligible state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Experience serving school-aged children or adolescents strongly preferred
- Ability to pass required drug screening and fingerprint background checks according to district policy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to students per individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and re-evaluations to determine student needs and progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies
