Step into a fulfilling role supporting students’ communication needs as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract position is located near Kenner, LA, with work based onsite. You’ll work full-time—35 hours a week, Monday through Friday, following the regular school calendar.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice in Louisiana
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Successful completion of required drug screening and fingerprinting prior to placement
- Previous experience in a school environment is advantageous, though strong new graduates are welcome
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding speech and language services to a school-aged caseload (specifics to be determined)
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes in alignment with district and state regulations
- Serve multiple schools as assigned by the district, providing services in person each day
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
