An exciting school-based assignment is available for a skilled SLP in the greater Tacoma area, supporting student communication and development. This contract opportunity runs through June 23, 2027, offering flexibility for either onsite or VOCO (virtual/online) engagement.
You’ll be working with a manageable caseload of 40–50 students, providing intervention, evaluation, and consultation within a supportive elementary school community. What You’ll Bring:
- Valid and current Washington SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services in pediatric or school settings
- Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements through OSPI
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and other specialists
- Adaptability to provide direct onsite or virtual (VOCO) support as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in a resource room setting
- Complete assessments, develop goals, and maintain compliant documentation
- Collaborate with teachers and families to support students’ IEPs and learning plans
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and progress reviews
- Utilize a variety of service delivery models (onsite and virtual)
