School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Federal Way, Washington
Step into an engaging school-based opportunity supporting preschool students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis for the upcoming academic year. This role runs from August 31st, 2026, through June 15th, 2027, offering you the chance to make a significant impact onsite, near Federal Way, WA. You’ll work 35-37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, collaborating with a dedicated team and supporting early childhood learners at a foundational stage in their development.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure as an SLP
- Open to both certified SLPs and SLPAs
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with preschool children
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, early childhood development, and speech/language intervention strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide therapy for preschool students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student success
- Document progress and maintain accurate records as per school and state requirements
- Provide education and guidance to families on strategies for supporting communication at home
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary staffing
