Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) – Part-Time School-Based | Lowell, OR
Location: Around Lowell, Oregon
Job Type: Part-Time | School-Based Contract
Schedule: ~16 hours/week (up to 24 hours/week initially)
Assignment Dates: August 25, 2026 – May 22, 2027
Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to join our team in Lowell, OR for a school-based position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP who enjoys collaborating with school teams, supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), and supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a full-time SLPA, ensuring compliance with state licensing guidelines
- Conduct speech-language assessments, evaluations, and screenings
- Develop and write IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and detailed reports
- Participate in and present findings at IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and ensure services align with district and state standards
Note: The SLPA will perform all tasks permitted under their license, allowing the SLP to focus on evaluation, supervision, and compliance responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
- Valid Oregon SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)
- School-based experience preferred
- Experience supervising or working with SLPAs is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Schedule & Caseload
- Typical Hours: 16 hours per week
- Initial Ramp-Up: 16–24 hours/week during first few months
- Caseload and number of schools assigned will be discussed during the interview
