School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Berkeley, California
Embark on a rewarding part-time opportunity for the 26/27 school year as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist working with preschool students in a vibrant educational setting. In this role, you’ll engage with a creative, diverse population, conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering targeted speech-language interventions to preschool-aged learners. Your expertise will also extend to evaluating students at both private schools and nonpublic schools as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid state licensure or eligibility (Clinical Fellow Year candidates encouraged to apply)
- CCC-SLP certificated or CFY status accepted
- Strong understanding of early childhood communication development
- Experience in school settings or with preschool populations preferred
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing assessments for preschool, private, and nonpublic school students
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for those with speech and language needs
- Delivering evidence-based therapy services to young learners
- Collaborating closely with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s goals
- Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory and district standards
- Providing expertise and support to school personnel regarding communication disorders
