Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, CFY considered
- Previous experience working in school settings with children or adolescents
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Collaborative spirit to work well with teachers, parents, and administrators
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech/language disorders
- Develop, implement, and update individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to educational teams
- Support students with a diverse range of communication needs across multiple grade levels
- Educate families and school staff on strategies for communication development
