School Speech Language Pathologist - Chula Vista, California

Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience providing speech and language therapy in a school setting, preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and familiarity with documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service professionals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address student-specific needs
- Conduct therapy sessions individually or in small groups, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing feedback and contributing to student goals
- Complete thorough and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and reports
- Educate families and teachers to support students’ communication skills outside of therapy sessions
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and district policies
