Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CFs considered)
- Experience with school-based SLP services and IEP process
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and staff
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adapting services to each student's unique needs
- Conduct therapy sessions, both individually and in small groups, focused on achieving IEP goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and families to monitor progress
- Maintain thorough records of assessments, sessions, and communications in accordance with school policies
- Offer in-service training to staff and guidance to families as needed
