Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse speech and language needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate records of progress notes, therapy logs, and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as an engaged member of the multidisciplinary team
- Support students ranging from preschool to high school, adapting therapy to different age groups and abilities
