Desired Background and Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or CFY considered
- Recent experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a varied caseload of K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to development and implementation of student goals
- Maintain thorough records and progress documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to maximize student success in the classroom
- Offer training and support for staff when needed regarding speech and language strategies
