School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Ellicott City, Maryland

Specialized Skills & Experience Sought:
- Hold a valid Maryland SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred, CFYs considered
- Experience within school settings (elementary, middle, or high school) highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, faculty, and parents
- Ability to travel between assigned school sites as needed
- Passion for empowering students to develop effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students’ speech, language, or communication needs
- Provide direct therapy in both individual and small group settings according to IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and compliance with district guidelines
- Confer with families to guide home carryover of therapy strategies
